I know I haven’t posted in a while, but if anyone can get me to blog on a rainy Saturday morning, it’s the lovely Cassie Ventura.
Cassie decided to shave a good portion of her hair last night, going for a punk inspired look. As she stated on her Twitter page, Cassie wanted to do “[s]omething that displays the ‘I don’t give a fuck’ attitude that was always present, but never showcased.”
Upon releasing a few pics to showcase the new ‘do, many of Cassie’s acolytes (mostly women who probably allow their hair to define them) expressed horror and disbelief. Personally, I like it. Cassie is quite striking and I’m loving how she’s going against traditional notions of what’s considered beautiful and acceptable.
“Sometimes in life, you need a change,” she simply states. “Something deeper than what you thought you were capable of.”
In this era of Barack Obama, we all know that change is positive. And yes, this haircut may shock your mother, Cassie, but she (as well as the rest of us) will have no choice but to acknowledge that you are indeed a rock star.

Yeeeeeah… But what do you do when it gets old? And it WILL get old. It WILL go out of style. Then she will just be a silly girl who did a silly thing to get some silly attention and ended up with a silly lop-sided hairdo when it starts to grow out. Wow! Were the two months of publicity, oh, excuse me, I mean, individualism, really worth it? Silly girl.

BUT, i think its quite a trend now that she has one and that denise richards or carmen electra (they both look the same) have one… hmm
