Jay-Fingers-at-Google-Plus

Are you on Google Plus? Maybe you are, maybe you are not. But if you are, you should totally add me to your circles.

Why, you ask? For the same reasons you should be following me on Twitter. I’m hilarious, plus I share cool, interesting, and useful links. Trust, you need me in your online life.

Below is Mariah Carey‘s dope “Circles,” to serve as your soundtrack whilst you get to circling me.

Can’t Stay Away

Let me just get this out of the way right now — WordPress is fucking evil. The amount of fuckery one must deal with in order to effectively blog on WordPress is unbelievable. This shit is torturous.

But what are the alternatives?

So I’m back, fuck you very much. I’m still keeping my Tumblr, which I do love. But I’m also resurrecting Air Conditioning. Expect to see overlapping posts between the two as, unlike my good friend T.S. Johnson, I don’t have the energy to maintain several separate blogs covering different subjects. I’m not that good. Holler.

Sorry!!

sorry1

So, I attempted to do something different, and it didn’t quite work out. This is why you’ve not seen a new post in quite some time. Oh well. Life happens.

Worry not, however, my good friends, constant readers, and stalkers! I am still writing, and I will be back to spruce up Air Conditioning in due time. Meanwhile, come follow me on Teh Twitter.

Morning Coffee: So Delicious

Four very lovely, and very opinionated, ladies are hitting Teh Internets with a new web series, Morning Coffee. Featuring authors Kim Osorio and Tionna Smalls and radio personalities Angela Yee and Jen the Pen, Morning Coffee touches on everything in hip-hop, fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle news. And because these ladies don’t hold back, you can expect to hear some “real shit.” And I love how Ms. Smalls succinctly describes it:

Four women from different sides of the media coming together for one common goal: gossip.

Bwahaha, well, there it is. Of course, since I’ve had the pleasure of meeting three of the four ladies, I’ma gone ahead and give this my full support and endorsement. This is like Colin Powell endorsing Barack Obama, only better.

Morning Coffee is a daily show, featured on Global Grind. Check the promo “webisode” after the jump.

Team Liquor: The Bomb Bloody Mary

Those that know and love me know that recently I’ve taken up with that classic alcoholic beverage known as the Bloody Mary. While I’d always liked the Bloody, it was never a major component of my repertoire until a few months back when, on a flight to Miami, I had a few on the aeroplane. The one I had on the plane was the bootleg version — vodka and tomato juice, viola! It got the job done.

However, being a massive proponent of brunch culture, as I began ordering Bloodys instead of mimosas on Sunday (and sometimes Saturday) mornings with my omelets, I realized that there was much more to the beverage then I’d originally thought. It was just my lucky (inside joke, not a typo) that two weeks ago on my birthday, I found a recipe for the bomb Bloody Mary on Lifehacker. And so I finally enjoyed the bomb Bloody for the first time this past Sunday. Why’d I wait two weeks to enjoy the bomb? Well you’ll just have to hit the jump to find out, now won’t you?

ScriptGirl Report 9-26-08

SG has officially attained celebrity status.

Last week’s video had over 200,000 views. “All the views were a bit of a freak of nature, I think,” she told me. “Like a tsunami! But I finally cracked the YouTube Dutch Antilles top 100, so it’s all good!”

It certainly is all good. And you already know what’s to come. In a few months, SG will star in her very own reality television series. Wait and see. This week’s video after the jump.

ScriptGirl Report 9-20-08

Let me tell you guys something. I do what I do because I love it. Whether I’m writing scripts or posting on this blog, in the kitchen cooking or teaching blind kids how to play kickball, I do it because I care enough to invest the time and energy. That also includes posting SG‘s weekly reports. They’re informative, they’re funny, and SG is definitely easy on the eyes. :)

While I’m sure her YouTube channel and MySpace page get many more hits than my blog, I still feel this is an effective way to disseminate information that’s useful to all interested in what’s going on in Hollywood. I’m not doing it for propers or popularity.

So when I saw that I’d been replied to in a post I made on one of SG’s videos, it was pretty darn heartwarming to see who’d written me and what they’d said.

Duly noted, SG. I appreciate you as well. Thanks for the info and the friendship. :)

Okay, okay, enough mushy stuff, right? Peep the latest after the jump.
