The Week in Cool 11-2-08

Though I promised more, I still gave less this week. For that, I apologize. It’s been insane, just like the Huck Gee Dunny (see right). So much has been happening for me recently, I’ve been neglecting y’all. But the stuff I did post about:

• I need Audrey Hepburn and the Rat Pack hanging on my wall.
• You will no longer get lost meeting your Craigslist bootie call.
• Unfortunately, torture porn is not dead.
• It’s Zuul, not Gozer.
• Already I’m over 2500 words into NaNoWriMo!
• Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel reunited.
• Sadly, the loss of an inspiration to many.

Halloween was fucked for me, so there are no pics, even though I did wear my costume all day. Ah well. Feeling good since I’ve started my NaNoWriMo project and I’m still working on the latest script, which I’ve been procrastinating on. Shout out to the W!ldbrain crew, oh, and make sure you get your asses out and vote, motherfuckers! Holler!

“Saw” Top Grossing Horror Franchise Ever

Ugh.

I’m not a major fan of horror movies and while I quite enjoyed the first Saw, I think that the series is just vile and gross for no reason. Torture porn is out, homies. Umm, nope, I guess I’m wrong. It couldn’t beat the juggernaut that is High School Musical 3 for the weekend’s top spot at the box office, but Saw V still grossed $30.5 million dollars over the three day period. As a result, it’s on its way to beomcing the highest grossing horror film franchise of all time.

Former Cosby kid and current video vixen/Bankamurrika drive-thru teller Keisha Knight-Pulliam has nabbed the role of Candy, an “imprisoned prostitute,” in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail. Yes, you’re right. Malcolm Jamal-Warner probably is somewhere asking himself, Why the hell does she get all the good roles?
