ScriptGirl Report 3-20-09

So ScriptGirl took a week off and then I took a week off (sorry!) so now we’re back on track with the video reports. Not much excitement in the world of script sales this week, just a couple of adaptations and rehashes. We do, however, learn a bit more about SG‘s past and her inital entry into “this biz of show.”

My, this video is deliciously random. And, treat of treats, we finally get a glimpse at SG‘s legs and discover why we’ve never seen them before. Discover the truth after the jump.

ScriptGirl Report 2-27-09

You know it’s going to be a great report when ScriptGirl starts off the video flashing that winning smile of hers. This week, she talks to Geoff LaTulippe, who’s sold two spec scripts recently, with both sales having been reported by SG. LaTulippe, whom ScriptGirl dubs her favorite screenwriter, certainly serves as inspiration for those of us who wish to sell a screenplay so that we, too, may be featured in a future ScriptGirl video.

ScriptGirl Report 2-20-09

They say things come in threes. In this case, it’s apologies. First, Chris Brown apologized (via song) for beating the shit out of Rihanna. Then, the New York Post offered its half-assed apology (to some) for running an op-ed cartoon they didn’t think could’ve possibly been construed as offensive. Now, it is my turn.

I must apologize to my wonderful friend ScriptGirl for neglecting her. I did not post last week’s update, and although she hit me up a few times, I did not respond. I am a heel. And I deserve to be included in the company of such incorrigible villains as Chris Breezy and the low Post. But unlike those two, I deserve forgiveness, no?

ScriptGirl Report 2-6-09

Is there something about my personality that would lead people to think I would create an online female character? One complete with personality, history, and photographs? I know I’m a fucking fantastic writer with a near godlike ability to create memorable  and engaging characters, but please.

So recently, on Teh Twitter, a friend asked me about ScriptGirl: Everytime i read your blog I wonder who Script Girl is. so like who is she? lol.

I explained who SG was, how the videos came about, and how they’ve become enormously popular, especially amongst the horny film geek set. (Sorry, K, but it’s true, haha!) Anyway, my friend replied thusly:

ahhhh okay! I didnt know if she was a made up character of yours and you borrowed a pic online lol

“Made up character,” what? Of course, this isn’t the first time that I’ve been accused of such a thing — if you were on the Wodie board when it was fun, you may remember the legendary “AaliyahFan” debacle. Thankfully, due to the sexual procivities of other, less-than-discreet board members, the myth that I was posting as  “AaliyahFan” was debunked.

My boy Keith, of KNOS fame, recently asked me who ScriptGirl was. I explained the concept behind SG’s weekly video treasures, and that lead to a discussion about women who make intelligence sexy.

ScriptGirl Report 1-23-09

You know, I’m quite thankful The Dark Knight wasn’t nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and especially Best Screenplay. The story was full of holes. Nonsensical. The only good thing about the movie was Heath Ledger’s performance, which was rightly nominated.

ScriptGirl Report 1-16-09

Whoo hoo! ScriptGirl is feeling much better, as evidenced by what has to be the most vulgar report to date. It’s kind of like the “Aristocrats” joke — it’s funny at first, and then it goes on and you’re like WTF, and then it reaches a point where it becomes funnier than you’d expect. While I would love to spoil some of the raunchier parts, it’s probably best you check it out for yourself.
