You know what I’m asked the most these days?
How are you doing? Nope.
How’s ya mama doing? Nuh-uhn.
How’s your novel coming along? ¡No way, José!
The most common question I get these days is, “Is Moe’s really closing?” Well, I now have your fucking answer, people, and it’s “NO.”
Moe’s Bar & Lounge, located in the heart of Brooklyn’s Fort Greene neighborhood, is staying open for at least two more months. So, naturally, they’re throwing a big ol’ bash to celebrate.
The party’s Saturday, February 26, and kicks off at 8pm with a screening of NYC 77: The Coolest Year In Hell. (If you didn’t already know, we watch films at Moe’s, motherfuckers!) Then at 10pm, DJ Cool Hands Luke hops on the 1s &2s to spin the usual hype mix of hip-hop, soul, and funk.
Y’all are all more than welcome to come, drink, dance, flirt, and do whatever. But this isn’t an invitation for you to come up in my favorite watering hole and act like an ass.
