If you didn’t know, today—March 2—is the birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known to generations of readers as Dr. Seuss. Under this pseudonym, Geisel wrote over 60 books, which have sold over 222 million copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 15 languages.
In Geisel’s honor, the National Education Association has declared today Read Across America Day. If you have children, sit down with them and enjoy one of Dr. Seuss’ many classics. And if, like me, you have no kids, grab a book off the shelf and immerse yourself in its wondrous world of make-believe anyway.
Which of Dr. Seuss’ classics is your favorite?
