On September 20, Every Thing On It, a new, posthumous collection of never-before-seen poems and drawings by Shel Silverstein, will be released. All the poems and drawings contained in the book were selected from Silverstein’s archives by family members.
The author passed away in 1999.
With more than one hundred and thirty never-before-seen poems and drawings completed by the cherished American artist and selected by his family from his archives, this collection will follow in the tradition and format of his acclaimed poetry classics.
Silverstein’s previous acclaimed collections of poetry for children, Where the Sidewalk Ends, Falling Up and A Light in the Attic, were bestsellers. He was also author of the classic children’s picture book The Giving Tree.
In addition to his works for children, Silverstein was a playwright, recording artist, Grammy-winning songwriter (for Johnny Cash‘s “A Boy Named Sue”), and he’d even contributed cartoons to Playboy. Oh yeah.
Every Thing On It is being published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. You can pre-order it at Amazon.
