Writing: Cristin Terrill’s Top Six Movies about Writers

Author/blogger Cristin Terrill posted her Top Six Movies about Writers over at Incidents & Accidents, and while I think a few movies were conspicuously excluded—Where’s Misery? Barton Fink? The Lost Weekend? Deconstructing Harry?—her list is pretty interesting and, for the most part, on point.

Check out the trailer for #6 on the list, Shakespeare in Love, above. The 1998 Best Picture winner is still one of my favorite films of all time.

  1. My reason for excluding the movies you mentioned is pretty simple, I just haven’t seen them. 🙂 Well, I saw Misery a long time ago, but I recall it being more about a crazy person and less about writing/writers. I guess I should have called it MY top six movies, but that doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

    Thanks for the link, Jay!
