Mainly because I need to post something, I decided to check out the latest happenings with hip-hop’s reigning maestro of beef, 50 Cent. In a shocker of shockers, it looks like Rick Ross aka Officer Ricky isn’t the only one looking to beef with Curtis Jackson (and no, I’m not talking about Foxy Brown).
Pruane, a YouTube phenom, has just about had it with Curtis’ shenanigans, and he’s not going to stay quiet about it. Clearly disgusted with 50’s actions, Pruane recently recorded a video expressing his displeasure with the multiplatinum recording star/actor/author/forthcoming sex toy designer. Check it out after the jump.
Looks like Sasha’s getting a little too fierce for her own good.
Isis Wisdom over at Word on the Streets reports that Mrs. Shawn Carter made some less than complimentary comments about the susperstar Jackson family, insinuating that they are low class, ghetto Negroes:
The former Destiny’s Child singer said in a recent interview, “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons.
“But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”
Now, baby Janet is livid and letting everyone know these remarks will not go unpunished. She’s out for Beyonce’s blood.
Yes, I know this is mad late, but since sooooooooooo many of you demanded it, here’s the reply (?) from Chris Breezy to Mr. Matrix, and yes, it’s done over Weezy’s “A Milli.” Now, I don’t know if this actually qualifies as a diss or a response. It just is what it is. And to be fair, I like this better than Ne-Yo’s “freestyle” only because Young Brown switches it up a bit.
That should not suggest this is a stellar showcase of lyricism, however. Audio fecal matter after the jump! Continue reading

Okay, now I’ve heard everything. I like the pop-&-B music of both young Chris Brown and Ne-Yo, so it’s difficult to really believe they are embroiled in some kind of beef. (I may be mistaken, but hasn’t Ne-Yo written songs — hit songs, at that — for Young Brown?) So imagine my surprise when I hear that Ne-Yo has crafted a diss record, supposedly leveling shots at CB.
R&B cats dissing each other via song, you say. Isn’t that strange? Why, yes, it is, although it’s admittedly not completely unheard of. But what’s even stranger is that Mr. Irreplaceable isn’t singing in his diss track — he’s rapping. Limp braggadocio and lyrical clumsiness over the instrumental to Lil Wayne’s new classic “A Milli” after the jump. Continue reading
